In May, we’ll be exploring dreams. Daydreams, nightmares, dreams deferred, dreams you’re afraid to say out loud, dreams you’ve outgrown, dreams for the world you’re still hoping for. Dreams are the jumping-off point, not the destination. In this free-flowing evening, your writing can go wherever it needs to go.

The Write Fit writing salon is not your ordinary Wednesday night in the Mission. Each month, a small group of women gathers around a table to write and connect. Using guided prompts to loosen even the most stubborn writer’s block, we write unapologetically, surprise ourselves on the page, and connect with others doing the same. No critique. No pressure. No prior writing experience required. Just honest words and shared discovery, and radical support.
If you’ve ever wanted to write but felt intimidated, short on time, or struggled to start, this salon is for you. Whether you’ve never written before or feel called to return to the page, this is your invitation.
How The Writing Salon Works
Two writing periods inspired by poetry and prompts. I read a poem or short piece, offer a jump-off line, and you write—pen moving steadily to bypass your inner critic. After writing, we share what we’ve written in a supportive, critique-free space. Most people find this the most powerful part.
What to Bring:
Notebook, your favorite pen, curiosity, and an open mind.

The writing wraps, but the evening isn’t over. Drop by Lemon Twist for shopping, a drink, and conversation. No RSVP required — everyone welcome.
