Pop-Up Workshops and Retreats
Meesha‘s class is a panacea… It’s the most authentic part of my week —every week, I surprise myself and discover new depths to my writing. Meesha creates a non-judgmental, supportive community that invites unpredictable creative expression.
If you’ve ever wanted to write but felt intimidated, short on time, or struggled to start, participate in one of my FREE writing pop-ups and step out of your comfort zone. The workshop will preview our radically supportive writing circles in a low-stakes setting.
Upcoming Zoom workshops:
A Taste of Free-Range Writing May 23, 2025 11 am-12 noon PT
Here’s how it works:
In this interactive guided writing session, I’ll show you how to tap into the therapeutic power of automatic writing. No prior writing experience is required. This technique is as accessible and transformative for those beginning their writing journey as it is for experienced writers. You don’t have to consider yourself a writer at all. You only need a notebook, a pen, and an open heart.
I’ll guide the group through a writing practice designed to help you tap into your authentic writing voice. I will read a poem to the group to inspire us and suggest a couple of lines from the poem to use as writing prompts. You take it from there.
We spend 10-15 minutes writing to each prompt, with the pen never leaving the page. The idea is to get a lot of words down without pausing to consider whether the words are “good enough.” We try to say yes to whatever comes up and get comfortable writing as our complicated, messy, real selves. This is how we find our authentic voice.
You’ll leave with a handful of juicy writing and, quite possibly, some excavated inner truths. You can share a piece you wrote with the group at the end of class. Sharing is voluntary, but take my word for it; that’s where the real magic happens. More about that in class……
This 1-hour workshop is completely FREE, but you must register in advance. After you register, you will receive an email with the Zoom link.

The Madeleine Moment: Unlocking Memory, Meaning, and Emotions through Food Poetry
Just one taste of the sweet, buttery French cake mingled with lime blossom tea was all it took for Proust’s childhood memories to come flooding back to him. Unlock your own madeleine moment in this two-hour guided generative class where the sensory cues of food poetry (smell, taste, and sound) are used as writing prompts to trigger remembrances of your sweet and bitter past.

Here’s how it works
In this two-hour interactive session, we will explore the involuntary phenomenon of taste/memory and learn how to retrieve it using the therapeutic power of automatic writing.
We’ll cover three writing prompts in this 2-hour meetup. You’ll leave with a handful of juicy writing and, quite possibly, some excavated inner truths.
If you’re interested, you will have an opportunity to read a piece you wrote at the end.
Please DM or email me if you have any questions.
