Imagine if you stopped thinking about writing and just started writing.

Join me for an inspiring and rejuvenating weekend writing retreat at the beautiful Limantour Lodge at the Pt. Reyes National Seashore on the Pacific Coast of Marin County in Northern California. With hiking trails starting right outside the lodge, get ready to be captivated by the rugged cliffs, windswept beaches, magnificent esteros, and Bishop Pine forests, Limantour Beach is one of my favorite spots to unwind, collect sea shells, bird watch, and watch the sun set into the Pacific Ocean.

We will spend 1 1/2 days unwinding, writing and reading aloud, nature walking, listening to the lap of the ocean waves, and dropping into our relaxed, authentic selves.

LOCATION

Limantour Lodge is an ideal getaway for nature lovers, folks who want a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city and suburban life, and writers seeking restoration, inspiration, and reflection. Located in a quiet, secluded valley 15 minutes from Pt. Reyes Station, the Lodge has hiking trails that lead directly to the beach from outside your room. With its rich biodiversity, Point Reyes National Seashore is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and wildlife lovers, providing a sanctuary for numerous species of plants and animals along its marshes and coastline. It’s a perfect backdrop for slowing down, paying attention to the natural beauty of our world, and writing about it.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Limantour Lodge is the only overnight accommodation at the Pt. Reyes National Seashore, located between the small towns of Pt. Reyes Station and Inverness in West Marin County. The Lodge is already sold out to the general public, but I’ve reserved the private Laguna Creek House and Meadow Suites exclusively for workshop attendees. There are only 8 spots available, and they will sell out quickly, so don’t hesitate—say YES and join me for this transformative experience!

Overnight accommodations vary, from private queen rooms to shared bedrooms split between 2-3 people. If you are interested in shared housing, please email me at meeshahalm.com and let me know if you have someone you’d like to share the room with or if you want me to try to pair you with another workshop guest. I will do my best to try, but accommodations will be made on a first-come, first-come basis.

    • You get a private room with a queen-sized bed. Each room has access to a bathroom with shared with one other room.
  2. Private Room with Queen Bed and Shared Bath (Shared by 2 people)
    • Price: $775 per person
    • This is a private room with a queen-sized bed. Each room has access to two shared half baths just outside the rooms that is shared with two other rooms.
  3. Shared Bedroom with Double Bed and Two Bunks, Shared Bath (Sleeps 3 people comfortably)
    • Price:
      • $875 if you’re staying by yourself
      • $675 if shared by 2 people
      • $500 if shared by 3 people
    • This room has a double bed and two bunk beds. Each room has access to a bathroom that is shared with one other room.

All rooms have access to the Laguna House, where the workshop will unfold. The Laguna House is a LEED-certified modern building with a large communal kitchen, dining room, living room, and outdoor porch. It’s a relaxed and welcoming space where you can meet other guests, swap stories, and take in the beautiful valley views. The Laguna House is exclusively reserved for attendees, so it’s all yours to enjoy during your stay.

GETTING THERE

Limantour Beach is an easy 30-mile drive west-northwest from San Francisco and a 20-minute drive from Point Reyes Station. The closest airport is Santa Rosa (STS) Airport, 31.9 miles away. Other nearby airports include San Francisco (SFO) (40.7 miles) and Oakland (OAK) (43.6 miles).
